Welcome to Biolingo!

Biolingo is a learning game created by Dr Elaine Beaulieu and Dr Caroline Petit-Turcotte. In order to study how effective Biolingo is as a learning tool, we need to collect data on how students play the game and how well students do in the course (exam results, game results and final course marks). You are not required to do anything specific, you simply need to let us know whether you agree for Dr Beaulieu to use your data.

Your data will always be kept anonymous and protected. Your BIO1140 Introduction to Biology professor (including Dr. Beaulieu) will not know whether you agreed to participate in the study or not until after official marks are released in May.

Indicating you do not consent will have no effect on your grade or academic standing and you will still be able to use the Biolingo game for course purposes.
